The following pastoral letters have been issued by the Most Reverend Theodore E. McCarrick, DD, since he assumed the ministry of Ordinary of the Archdiocese of Newark in 1986. Pastoral letters are a means for bishops to instruct those in their dioceses in aspects of Catholic teachings, worship, or social concerns.
