A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated May 27 at Saint Michael Villa, Englewood Cliffs, for Sister Eucharista Fitzmaurice, C.S.J.P., 92, who died May 21.
Among her many assignments, she taught at Saint Joseph School for the Blind in Jersey City. She was assigned to the Philippines, where she ministered for 17 years. She also served as principal and headmistress of Lions Nursery/Primary School in Kenya.
Sr. Eucharista returned to Jersey City and assisted Saint Joseph Magazine office until her retirement in 1984. In 2005, she moved to Saint Michael Villa.
