A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated July 23 at Saint Anthony Parish, Belleville, for Rev. Joseph J. Cestaro, 89, who died on July 19.
Ordained on June 15, 1946, he was pastor emeritus of Saint Anthony Parish, Belleville. He first served the Archdiocese of Newark as parochial vicar for Saint Rocco Parish, Newark.
  
Fr. Cestaro’s other assignments in the archdiocese included: Saint Anthony of Padua Parish, Union City, parochial vicar; Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish, Montclair, parochial vicar; Saint Joseph Parish, East Orange, parochial vicar; Saint Anthony Parish, Newark, administrator and pastor.
