A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Nov. 14 at Saint Joseph Residence, Ringwood, for Sister Mary Martha DeMarzo, O.S.F., 88, who died Nov. 10.
 
Born in Santo Polina, Italy, she entered the Franciscan Sisters of Ringwood in 1937 and professed her first vows in 1941.
 
Sr. Martha ministered for 32 years in the Diocese of Paterson and 13 years in the Diocese of Brooklyn. She volunteered at Our Lady of Angels School, Ringwood, and served as an educator at Saint Ann School in Hoboken. From 2004 until her death, she served in prayer ministry at Saint Joseph Residence.
