Archbishop Myers is joining with other bishops in the United States to speak out against soon-to-be-implemented rules from the US Department of Health and Human Services that will force Catholic institutions to purchase and offer health insurance coverages that are in conflict with Catholic teaching.

These rules mark the first time in this nation's history that the US Government has cast aside the Protection of Religious Freedom guaranteed to Catholic Americans under the First Amendment of the US Constitution.
