A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated June 2 at Sacred Heart Parish, Haworth, for Father Joseph W. Nealon, 93, who died May 25.
His assignments in the Archdiocese of Newark included Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, Bayonne; Hudson County CYO; Port Chaplain for Apostleship of the Sea; Sacred Heart Parish, Hayworth; and Saint Andrew Parish, Westwood.
He retired from the archdiocese on Dec. 1, 1985, and relocated to Palm City, FL, assisting at Holy Redeemer Parish for 24 years.
