Archdiocese of Newark’s 20th Annual Women’s Day of Reflection Set for March 3
The 20th Annual Women’s Day of Reflection of the Archdiocese of Newark will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2012, from 8 a.m. until 5:15 p.m. at Seton Hall University, South Orange. The theme for this year’s event is “Rise Up and Walk – Plugging in to the Power of Grace.”
The Women’s Day of Reflection will offer two language tracks: English and Spanish. The speakers for the English track will include: nationally-recognized authors and EWTN contributors Dr. Gregory and Lisa Popcak; Sr. Marilyn Minter, CSSF, associate director of the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry
The speakers for the Spanish track will be: Deacon Eliut and Marie Casanova, founders of Matrimonios Unidos en Cristo, a lay movement in the Archdiocese of Newark, and; Martha Fernandez-Sardina, director of the Office of Evangelization of the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
The Most Reverend Archbishop John Myers will be the main celebrant for the closing mass.
Women from throughout the Archdiocese and the State of New Jersey are invited to attend. The cost for the conference is $25 for adults, $20 for students and seniors, and free for all Priests and Religious. Continental breakfast and light luncheon will be served.
