Holy Week at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart
Holy Week marks the beginning of the Easter celebration in the Catholic Church, starting with Palm Sunday, the commemoration of Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem. In the Archdiocese of Newark, the liturgical representation of the historical events of Holy Week are celebrated through various Liturgies.

The schedule for Holy Week 2002 is as follows (all services to be held in the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart, 89 Ridge St., Newark):
