More Archdiocese of Newark Faculty to Present at the 99th Annual NCEA Conference
The Archdiocese of Newark, in cooperation with the Dioceses of Camden, Metuchen, Paterson and Trenton, will host the 99th Annual National Catholic Educational Association (NCEA) Conference, April 2-5 2002, in Atlantic City. Not only will Archdiocesan faculty act as host, but also they will be celebrating Mass, receiving awards and presenting workshops.

The following is a list teachers, professors and administrators from Archdiocesan schools will present at the convention and the title of their workshop:

Most Reverend John Joseph Myers, JCD, STL, Archbishop of Newark, will be the celebrant of the Opening of the Convention Liturgy on Tuesday, 2 April 2002.

His Eminence, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick, Archbishop of Washington (former Archbishop of Newark) will be the keynote speaker on Tuesday, 2 April 2002.

The following members of the Office of the Superintendent of Schools worked in preparation for NCEA Convention 2002:

Sister Patricia Butler, SC, Associate Superintendent for Elementary School Administration worked throughout June 2001-present in speaker selection for the elementary school section, preparing details (welcoming committee, liturgy, selecting presiders) etc.

Brother Ralph Darmento, FSC served on the selection committee for speakers for the secondary school section.
