Over the years, the fund has provided more than 24,000 scholarships to children in Catholic and other private schools. The Scholarship Fund depends on contributions from private and public donors for its scholarships. It is sponsored by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Newark, but does not limit its recipients to members of the Catholic faith. More than half of the scholarship recipients are not Catholic. Committee chair James A. Skidmore, Jr., President and CEO of the Science Management Corporation, is organizing the dinner. Cost of the dinner can be made in donations of $250, $500 or $1,000.
