NY Giant to be Honored 11th Annual CYO Tournament to Benefit Youth

The Office of CYO Youth and Young Adult Ministries is proud to announce the 11th Annual Golf and Tennis Classic. The event raises funds to support the agency's activities with young people throughout the Archdiocese of Newark four counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union, while honoring a great role model for today's Catholic youth.

Fr. Richard Corbett, Acting Executive Director of the Office of CYO Youth and Young Adult Ministries, chose New York Giant fullback Greg Comella, #34, as this year's honoree because "he is a fullback." "Fullbacks are humble people, they block and block and block, but never take the glory. Greg is also a man of great faith and an overall great role model for young people," said Fr. Corbett.

The event will take place on Monday, May 21, at the Edgewood Country Club, River Vale, NJ. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with tee-off time beginning promptly at 11 a.m. The day will conclude with a dinner, followed by a celebrity sports auction.

Registration for groups and individuals to play in the golf and tennis outing will continue on a first-come until the day of the event, or until there is no more room. Corporations are also welcome to help sponsor the event. For more information, contact the Office of CYO Youth and Young Adult Ministries at (973) 497-4519. 2400.
