Archdiocese of Newark Seeks New Teachers
On Tuesday, June 19, 7- 9 p.m., dedicated people who wish to share their talent and faith are invited to talk with representatives from the Superintendent of Schools Office about a career as a teacher in the Archdiocese of NewarkÕs Catholic schools. Hosted at Good Shepherd Academy, 24 Brookline Ave., Nutley, the evening will provide information about the value- centered education program and the benefits of teaching within the Archdiocese of Newark.

Anyone who is currently teaching, changing careers, choosing a second career or returning to the workforce is invited to attend the meeting. The Archdiocese has openings in grades kindergarten through 12 in many of the elementary and secondary schools in its four counties, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union.

The meeting will also detail the health care plan available and the tuition reduction plan towards a Masters in Education at select metropolitan area colleges and universities. For those who do not have a teaching certificate but wish to begin teaching immediately, Archdiocesan representatives will discuss the NJ State Alternate Route to Certification.
