Youth Ministries of the Archdiocese of Newark to Hold Summer Camp The CYO Day Camp this year is changing the way it does camp for kids. This year each week will offer a specific variety of fun and rewarding activities. Children will sign up for the activities in which they would like to participate. This list will be available on June 10th. Some of the activities include sports, arts and crafts, swimming, organized games, theme events, computers, and other special events. The camp hours are from 9 am until 3 pm, not including the after camp program that lasts until 5 pm. The camp will run from July 1st to August 16th. Also new for the 2002 Camp Season is the Kinder Camp - a new program for children ages 4 and 5 at the CYO Day Camp. The Kinder Camp will combine a traditional camping experience with the opportunity to sample some new activities. Kinder Camp is specially designed with the younger camper in mind. The Kinder Camp will be located in the CYO Youth Center's air conditioned, carpeted facility. The Kinder Camp will have its own special toys, recreational equipment, and its own play field and pool time. The day will include breakfast and lunch. Kinder Camp hours are from 9 am to 3 pm., and it will run from June 24th to August 16th. There is no transportation or After Camp available for the Kinder Camp. The CYO Day Camp is also offering free After Camp for children ages 6 through 12 from 3 pm until 5 pm.
