Calls on Community For Aid And Prayers Archbishop Theodore E. McCarrick has authorized an emergency voluntary collection to be taken at all Catholic parishes in the Newark Archdiocese to assist in relief services in the aftermath of this week's earthquake in Turkey. The collection can be taken during Masses scheduled over either the August 21-22 or August 28-29 weekends. The Archbishop also asked that the victims of this disaster be remembered in the General Intercessions at Mass.
