Archdiocese
to Participate in National Day of Prayer, Remembrance
In support of President Bush’s call today for a National Day
of Prayer and Remembrance after this week’s terrorist attacks,
the Archdiocese of Newark will hold special masses for strength
and courage on Friday, Sept. 14, at all 235 parishes and 175 schools
of the Archdiocese of Newark.
In
addition, The Most Reverend Arthur Serratelli, auxiliary bishop
of Newark, will say a special mass at 12 noon at the mother church
of the Archdiocese, the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in
Newark.
