Voices
of Angels . . . in Newark?
The voices
of angels will bring the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart
to life during the 27th Annual Candlelight Carol Sing at 8:00 p.m.
on Tuesday, December 16, 1997.
The Cathedral
Choir will perform seasonal music for the more than 1,000 faithful
who fill the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart yearly. The
choir will perform works by Britten, Pinkham, and Rutter, as well
as music from around the world.
The audience
will join the choir and organ in the traditional performance of
"Silent Night" in the glow of candlelight.
The concert
is under the direction of David E. Fedor, Cathedral Music Director.
The organist is F. Allen Artz III. There is on-site secured parking
available. The Cathedral is handicap accessible. Admission is free,
but a free-will offering will be accepted to help defray the cost
