Billboard Campaign Emphasizes Value of Catholic Education
The New Jersey Catholic Schools Marketing Council (NJCSMC) has launched a new billboard advertising campaign — Learning to Love. Loving to Learn – on major
highways throughout the state of New Jersey, including the NJ Turnpike and Garden State Parkway. Developed to promote Catholic Schools in New Jersey, the advertising campaign focuses on the strength of God in our schools as well as the quality education that is so widely celebrated.

Appealing to both parents and students, the theme embraces the heart of the Catholic School program, promoting the moral development and academic excellence that is expected of each student. To create the emphasis for the 2003 marketing campaign, focus groups were conducted in the fall in each of the Archdiocese of Newark and the Dioceses of Camden, Metuchen, Paterson, and Trenton. Focus group participants discussed the goal of the NJCSMC marketing program, its message, target audiences, and the type of media to use.

In addition to the statewide effort, the Archdiocese of Newark is promoting its 37 high schools in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union counties in information nights that highlight their educational programs and philosophies through PSAs and advertisements.

For more information about the NJCSMC advertising campaign in the Archdiocese of Newark contact Kathleen Ciraulo, Director of Marketing, in the Superintendent of Schools Office, by phone (973) 497-4260 or by e-mail ciraulka@rcan.org, or log onto www.rcan.org/schools.
