Archdiocese of Newark to Celebrate Parishioners’ Time,
Talents and Treasures The day will begin with a welcome, opening prayer and morning plenary session with Archbishop John J. Myers. Rev. Msgr. Michael Corona, President of the International Catholic Stewardship Council and a priest of the Diocese of Metuchen, will lead the afternoon plenary session. Attendees will also take advantage of morning and afternoon breakout sessions on specific aspects of Stewardship, and have a chance to view exhibitors from Archdiocesan Agencies and outside firms and vendors. “ The day will not only afford clergy, religious and laity the chance to learn from presenters and exhibitors. They will also have the chance to learn from and network with people from other parishes who are also involved in the Stewardship Way of Life. Time, talent and treasure are gifts from God that we need to appreciate and return to Him, and it is my hope that more parishioners will embrace the Stewardship Initiative after participating in Stewardship Day,” said Archdiocesan Coordinator of Stewardship Andrew Kaczynski. “ The stewardship way of life has transformed dedicated women and men throughout the parish communities of the church of Newark. I am greatly encouraged with the progress thus far and with the tremendous work of so many in our parishes. I encourage those already involved as well as those seeking to become involved in the Stewardship initiative to attend the Stewardship Day at Seton Hall University on October 11, 2003. “ I ask that you join me in praying for the further success of the stewardship effort as together we continue our journey moving closer to Jesus Christ.,” said Archbishop Myers.
