Archdiocese of Newark Hosts Annual Mass for
the EMS Community Mass chair and EMT instructor, Craig Stewart, explains that being a member of the EMS community is a mission and a calling. Invitations to the Mass, which he hopes will boost the community’s morale, have been extended statewide to all EMT’s and their families and friends. “At a time when the heroic nature of the work of pre-hospital care providers is being recognized, we gather to celebrate the EMS community,” said Rev. Msgr. Richard Arnhols, Archdiocesan Vicar for Pastoral Life. All personnel in uniform will receive commemorative pins in honor of the occasion. EMT’s, EMT-P’s and their families and friends are requested to be seated at 11:45 a.m. for the presentation of colors. Secure parking will be available. The committee, headed by Stewart, is comprised of volunteer, paid, active, and retired EMS workers and their chaplains. More information about the Mass for the EMS Community is available by emailing emsmass@yahoo.com.
