This calendar reflects 188 days. Eight (8) days must be chosen by the local school and should include three (3) snow/holidays, and any professional days that exceed the two (2) already factored in as instructional days. Please adjust the closing date if necessary. Half days should be four (4) instructional hours.
Summary: 180 instructional days include two (2) professional days–faculty attends, but students do not attend.

Principals Seminar: Required for all new principals, that is those beginning in a school in September 2007, or those who assumed the position after September 2006. All principals are encouraged to attend for professional development.
Changes to the calendar, after it has been submitted, should be reported to the Superintendent of Schools Office in writing.
