The Archdiocese of Newark will celebrate the Annual Mass for Law Enforcement Officers at 10 a.m. on Thursday, November 10 at the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark. Archbishop Myers will serve as the principal celebrant and homilist.
Earlier this month, law enforcement officials from Pennsylvania advised the Archdiocese that Father Kevin Gugliotta, a priest of the Archdiocese, was suspected of possession and dissemination of child pornography. Upon learning this information, Archbishop John J. Myers immediately removed Father Gugliotta from ministry.

The Oritani Bank Foundation recently awarded $15,000 to The Scholarship Fund for Inner-City Children (SFIC). The mission of the SFIC is to provide low-income students a partial tuition scholarship to attend private or parochial schools in Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Union County.

Due to the Viewing and Mass of Christian Burial for The Most Reverend Peter Leo Gerety on Monday, September 26, the Catholic High School Expo scheduled on that date at the Archdiocesan Center is being postponed.
