Endow

The Church is the mystical bride of Christ, a mother who spiritually nurtures and prepares the children of God. The role of living and transmitting this reality falls in particular to women. Women who have discovered their identity in Christ. And yet, very few apostolates and organizations uphold this reality as core to their mission or the mission of the Church. The absence of the Church's active involvement educating women has resulted in nearly 60 years of a distorted understanding of true feminism and the role of women as carriers of faith. Endow is Different. Endow brings women into small group communities that transmit the depth of our Catholic faith to awaken each participant's particular genius and ignite them as luminaries who heal, mother and prepare families and the world for the love of Christ.

Discover Your Dignity: A Woman’s Journey Through Life (Part 1) by Sr. Lydia Allen, R.S.M., Ph.D., Sr. Prudence Allen R.S.M., Ph.D., Sr. Moira Debono, R.S.M., S.T.D., and Sr. Marie Paul Lockerd, R.S.M., D.O. - This study, authored by four Religious Sisters of Mercy (who have been so formational in the Endow apostolate by offering academic as well as spiritual direction) takes women on a journey to see where their actual everyday lives intersect with God’s Divine plan. The story follows the course of a woman’s life from conception through old age and preparation for death, as it uncovers for women the mysterious workings of God in ways that involve the disciplines of biology, philosophy, psychology and theology.

Letter to Women by Erica Laethem, Be.L., Ph.D., Madelynn Winstead, Ph.D., Terry Polakovic: This is perhaps Endow’s most popular and foundational study for women first experiencing Endow. Answering many questions for modern Catholic woman this letter, written for the occasion of the 1995 Fourth United Nations Conference on Women, acquaints us with the thought of John Paul II and is a good introduction to the Christian concept of woman and her indispensable role in the Church, the family, society, and the world.

Mother of the Redeemer, Redemptoris Mater: On the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Life of the Pilgrim Church by Fr Jorge Rodriguez, S.T.D.- In this 1987 encyclical, John Paul II reminds us that Mary is the greatest saint, and he explains why this is so. John Paul II calls her the “most excellent expression of the feminine genius.” Mary’s ‘yes’ to her role in God’s plan places her at the center of salvation history. This study helps women understand and appreciate the place Mary holds in the Church. As the patroness of Endow, she is the model for all Christian women to love and emulate. We have such a deep love and relationship with our Blessed Mother, you will see even our logo is resembled after her. With the stars representing her crown, we are asking her, as the ultimate witness of the feminine genius, to overshadow our work and pray for the women close to our mission.

Finding Peace, Balance & Joy in Your Vocation as a Mother by Danielle Bean

Is being a mother what you thought it would be? The exhaustion, monotony, mounting unfinished projects, a loss of a sense of self... Too many moms, especially young and new moms, do in fact feel disillusioned. Maybe you feel you've been sold a bill of goods, that success and happiness are not possible through the vocation to motherhood. Many moms quietly resign themselves to the idea that success, happiness and fulfillment are things they will need to find in spite of motherhood, not because of it. In Momnipotent, Danielle Bean understands all this first-hand and meets women where they are. With great wit, wisdom, and compassion, she provides much-needed encouragement to all women and beautifully resonates with their feminine hearts. Momnipotent brings together Danielle and a guest expert with women of all experience and walks of life. Through real and honest conversations, this group of women journey together through the concerns, challenges, joys, and unique experiences that all mothers share. Join Danielle in this opportunity to share, challenge, and encourage each other in motherhood and momnipotence.

This brief but powerful six-week Bible study is the ideal way to revive and refresh yourself. Discover just how much God loves us and how the Gospels are deeply relevant to our relationship with God and with those we love.

Keeping in Balance: Creating Order Within by Lisa Brenninkmeyer - Do you feel pulled in many directions? Do you find it hard to balance the demands placed on your time? Is it difficult to manage all the details thrown your way? God wants to support and help us so that we can be our best in every season of our lives. Come along on a journey throughout Scripture as we discover the relevance of Old and New Testament wisdom to our daily challenges. Together, we’ll explore biblical ideas for managing life’s pace and pressure while living with calm and steadiness. Your lifestyle of health and holiness awaits.

Discovering Our Dignity by Lisa Brenninkmeyer - Women of the Old and New Testament were as flawed and broken as we can be. Yet, the power of God worked in their lives. Through their stories recorded in Scripture, they reach out to touch our “present” in a tender, honest and loving way – woman to woman – with ancient wisdom, sage advice, and insights from sorrowful failures and emotional wounds.

Touching the Devine: A Study of the Gospel of John by Lisa Brenninkmeyer - Touching the Divine draws us into a deeper relationship with Jesus as we reflect on Christ’s personality. Knowing Him more intimately will increase our love for Him. St. John referred to himself as “the disciple whom Jesus loved.” As we study, John will teach us how much Christ loves us and how His love is the true satisfaction of our souls.

Beholding His Glory: Christ Revealed in the Old Testament by Lisa Brenninkmeyer (1) - As we look at Old Testament people and events, we’ll encounter problems that only Christ will solve, needs that only He will satisfy, and promises that only He can deliver. This nine-lesson study shows us how all Scripture points us to our Redeemer, Jesus Christ. We’ll learn to recognize and appreciate God’s plan for our own lives, His awe-inspiring majesty, and His desire for personal intimacy with each one of us.

Beholding Your King: Christ Revealed in the Old Testament by Lisa Brenninkmeyer (2) - We live in a self-centered culture that all too often leaves us feeling empty and dissatisfied. A fuller view of God and His glory is the perfect antidote. We’ll study King David, select psalms, the temple, and many Old Testament prophets and see the ways in which they all point to the coming King of kings, Jesus Christ. This nine-lesson Bible study, is the second part of a two-part series and is ideally completed after Beholding His Glory.
